Career Coaching Opportunity with U Career Success

Want to put your professional experience to work helping University of Utah students find and fulfill their career dreams? U Career Success is seeking experienced individuals who would enjoy mentoring college-aged students from a variety of majors. Depending upon specialty area, auxiliary career coaches may guide students through career preparation that runs the gamut from exploration, personal branding (resumes, cover letters, LinkedIn profiles), applying for jobs and internships, interviewing and networking skills, finally leading to compensation negotiation for early-stage careers. 

This auxiliary position is designed for mid- to late-stage and retired professionals who enjoy working with the college-aged students who will benefit from their own career experience and accumulated wisdom. 

Flexible schedule, 10–19 hours/week, $25/hour honorarium, benefits not included. Training provided, 3-month arrangement with potential to extend. You have so much expertise to share! Interested? Email sue.finch@utah.edu for more information.

Your brief, introductory consultation is free. For U alumni, the first two sessions will be charged at a special flat fee of $150 for both sessions.* Additional sessions will be at a price determined by you and your coach.
