Fostering Education: Scholarships 2014-15

The Alumni Association is proud to foster education and recognize the academic achievements, community and University involvement, and outstanding potential of students by offering a number of scholarships to qualified candidates every year. The Alumni Association awarded $450,000 in scholarship funds for the 2013-14 academic year and plans to award $500,000 for the 2014-15 academic year. If you would like to participate in this initiative, you may donate to the scholarships of your choice.

Most of the scholarships listed here have deadlines in February. The chapter scholarships have more varied deadlines, and UNP is due in April. See the last column of each scholarship for any current deadlines.

Throughout the year, alumni from across the country raise funds at various events and fund drives so that they can award chapter scholarships to students in their areas who attend the University of Utah. These scholarships are available to all students from a given area, not just children of alumni. The number of scholarships and their amounts will vary by chapter and are dependent on the success of the chapter’s fundraising efforts throughout the year. Application availability and deadlines for each chapter vary, please check back often to see if your local chapter will be offering a scholarship for the upcoming year.
