FOUNDERS DAY AWARDS 2013

Founders Day 2013 was held on Feb. 28 at Little America Hotel.
At the Founders Day celebration each year,
the University of Utah Alumni Association presents its
Distinguished and Honorary Alumni Awards, the highest honors the Alumni Association bestows.
Distinguished Alumni Award
This honor is presented annually to four outstanding alumni
who carry forward the University of Utah tradition of
excellence through extraordinary achievement
and exceptional service.
Honorary Alumnus/a Award
The Alumni Association annually bestows this honor on an individual who either did not attend the University of Utah or who went to the University for a brief time (a year or less) and who has contributed significantly to the advancement of the University through personal involvement, including donations, volunteer work or other forms of support.

YOUNG ALUMNI PAR EXCELLENCE AWARD 2013
The University of Utah Young Alumni Board presents its Par
Excellence Award annually at the Spring Awards Banquet to a
former student who attended the University within the last 15 years,
in recognition of his or her outstanding professional achievement and
service to the community and/or the University of Utah.

PHILIP AND MIRIAM PERLMAN AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE IN STUDENT COUNSELING
The Philip and Miriam Perlman Award for Excellence in Student Counseling is presented annually at the Spring Awards Banquet in April. The award recognizes a faculty or staff member who has made an outstanding contribution to the University through his or her student advising and counseling.

EMERITUS MERIT OF HONOR AWARDS
Since 1971, more than 500 former University of Utah students have received the
prestigious Merit of Honor Award from the Emeritus Alumni Board of the
University of Utah Alumni Association. This recognition
is for students who attended the University 40 or more years ago and who
have given distinguished service to their profession, the University and/or
the nation. The Alumni Association honors the Merit of Honor awardees each year at the Merit of Honor Banquet.
