The 2017 European Reunion is June 3-4 in Barcelona, Spain. All University of Utah alumni are invited to attend.
Join your fellow alums in Barcelona, the cosmopolitan capital of Spain’s Catalonia region, known for its art and architecture.
Notable U guests attending the reunion:
David W. Pershing became university president in 2012, but he began his career here as an assistant professor of chemical engineering in 1977. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University and a doctorate from the University of Arizona, both in chemical engineering.
Sandi Pershing is the U's assistant vice president for engagement and a professor in the master of public administration program. She earned a bachelor of arts and an MPA from the University of Wyoming, after which she received her doctorate in public administration from Arizona State University.
Ruth Watkins is the senior vice president for Academic Affairs for the U. She serves as the U's chief academic officer, with responsibility for the quality of our academic programs and facilities, the success of our faculty and students, and the alignment of campus resources with our priorities and strategic directions.
John Ashton has been the executive director of the Alumni Association since 1988. Ashton holds a bachelor of science degree in business management and also received his law degree from the U. Before joining the Alumni Association, Ashton was a member of the Salt Lake law firm of Ray, Quinney & Nebeker.
